  • Illuno was built as a solution specifically for major cities to completely manage their off-duty processes.. With that goal in mind, illuno created the first-of-its-kind Customer Portal where your customers interact with your department in real time. This is important because it makes your department more accessible and brings transparency into the off-duty process which starts building bridges of trust between you and your community.

    Within the Customer Portal, Customers can create Events and submit them directly to your coordinator for approval. This means that if your city had 500 off duty requests or jobs in a single day, our program could be managed by a single department coordinator. What would have taken 5 to 10 minutes before to create and publish a job in a standard off duty platform now takes less than 30 seconds for your coordinator to review and approve each Event.

  • Illuno provides Departments with complete visibility into the details of their entire off¬-duty program. We believe that from a liability and community connection aspect maintaining complete control over the off-duty details in your jurisdiction is crucial. and now have the tools to properly oversee and implement your existing policies. illuno’san audit-proof history of every sanctioned off duty detail within your jurisdiction will ensure your off-duty program is ironclad.

  • Onboarding, implementing, and using illuno provides a seamless approach for your agency to modernize your off-duty program. We provide modifiable templates to announce the new process and platform to officers and will schedule training sessions with agency stakeholders to ensure everyone knows how to use the system for their appropriate role and authorizations We also offer 24/7 support to your department administrators, officers, and customers to assist anyone who needs guidance.

  • We understand that every Department their own processes to handle and manage their off-duty programs. Our comprehensive and customizable suite of job promotion algorithms will accommodate most Department’s needs. If you need something more specific and tailored to you, we are happy to help.

  • Illuno can process payments to your officers in two different ways.

    Option 1: If your department prefers to pay the officers on their existing paycheck, when we charge the customer per your Officer’s timecard, we will route the payment to your department or Municipality bank account.

    Option 2: If your department prefers the Officers to be paid directly by the Customer (via a 1099 relationship), when we charge the customer, we will route payment to your Officers preferred payout method of choice.

    In both instances, we will charge your customer’s pre-authorized payment method the same day as they approve your Officer’s timecards and immediately begin the transfer to you or your officer(s). Payments are expected to arrive two to three business days afterwards per standard bank processing times.

  • Your agency will have total control of approval and scheduling processes managed through the illuno platform. If your department has jobs or clients that are serviced by specific officers, you can continue to have those officers work their details. We will not intervene to disrupt any of your existing processes that agencies have in place.

  • Every job that gets requested through our platform requires Department approval by the designated authority before it goes out to officers. We do not have authority to push or publish any jobs to your officers. Your local businesses will create their own profile and then submit their requests to your department where approval is needed by your Coordinator prior to disbursement to officers.

  • A proprietary module in our software allows you to invite any company that you allow to hire your officers as an “Affiliate” to your department. By utilizing Affiliates within illuno, you can continue to allow your officers to engage with your local security firms while maintaining the direct oversight and information of when and where your officers are working off duty. This further allows your department to build bridges of connection to your community while ensuring that your protocols are followed, and you don’t lose access to the real time information of your officers status. Illuno is the only product available in the market today to provide this level of insight and connectivity to your department.

  • We do not pre-charge customers for your officer’s scheduled costs. We have found that the inconveniences far outweigh the benefits of making clients prepay. Across the country it is very common that an Officer scheduled for an off duty / extra duty shift will either be requested to work longer than he/she was scheduled to work or inversely get released earlier than expected from a shift. For Departments that require prepayment, this causes an unnecessary burden on the accounting team to either re-bill the Customer for extra-hours worked or initiate a partial refund if the Officer gets relieved early.

    We understand that the goal of prepayment is to ensure that your officers get paid for the work that they do. That is why we require a validated payment method prior to any Customer submitting an Event request to your department.

  • Illuno will never charge the Department or Officers for the use of our platform. We will never charge the city, Department or Officers for any features or functionality of our software. This includes training, implementation, on-boarding, hosting, functionality buildouts, and all other various associated costs.

    We charge the Customer a low percentage Event Fee as a component of the overall invoice.

  • Based on our experience and extensive national research the answer is: no. As we make your department more user-friendly and accessible to your community, we should see an increase in the number of repeat customers and new customers who can hire you that were not able to before. The vast majority of customers are willing to pay the small additional fee to access the benefits of being able to access the platform.

  • We will work with you during the implementation process to reduce or remove fees from businesses that are unwilling or unable to pay the associated Event Fee. We are your technology partner to build bridges of connection to your communities.

  • We will implement as fast as you prefer. We have implemented an entire department before in less than a week because they were up against a large State Fair that they needed help staffing. We normally recommend a 30 window so that your officers have adequate time to complete their profiles before businesses start putting jobs in. We will adjust to your needs and formulate a plan that works best for you, your officers and your community.
